Minutes Support

Minutes records your meetings and turns them into notes you own, entirely on your device. If something is not working, or you want to ask for a feature, write to me directly.

[email protected]

I am one person, so I read every message myself. Expect a reply within a couple of days. When something is broken, it helps enormously if you include your device, your OS version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Questions that come up

Where do my recordings go? Nowhere. Recording, transcription, summaries, and search all run on your device. The audio is deleted once you approve the note. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

What do I get for free? Recording, transcription, summaries, search, and chat, on one device, with no caps and nothing metered. That does not expire.

What does Pro add? Your calendar alongside your meetings, reminders before each meeting and when a note is waiting for review, meeting prep drawn from your past meetings, speaker recognition across meetings, and export to Markdown. Bought once.

What does Pro Plus add? Everything in Pro, plus sync: record on one device and the meeting is on all of them, end to end encrypted. If you already own Pro, sync can be added on its own later for less than the difference.

Is there a subscription? No. Every purchase is one time, and all of them can be shared with your family.

I bought Pro on another device and it is not here. Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Purchases follow your Apple Account, so they will come back on any device signed in to it.

How does sync work without an account? Your devices generate a key and pair with each other directly. There is no email address or password anywhere in the system. A 12-word recovery phrase is what restores access on a new device, and you are the only one who has it. If you lose it, I cannot recover your notes, because the server only ever holds data it cannot read.

Can I get my notes out? Yes. Notes are Markdown. Pro lets you export them into a folder you choose, such as an Obsidian vault, and Pro Plus can keep that folder current across your devices or commit every note to a GitHub repository you own.

Speaker names are wrong. You can rename any voice from the review screen or a person's page, and Minutes will use that name for that voice going forward. Recognition improves as it hears more of someone. If it is consistently wrong on a particular kind of recording, tell me about it, because that is exactly the feedback I need.

Recording laws. Following the recording consent laws where you are is your responsibility. Minutes does not ask the room for permission.
